Overall Rating: 6/10
Review: This is a good show to binge when you are bored or just to have in the background while you are working on something not very important.
Which movie/show does the same idea but better? I feel like this is similar to the movie "Bad Moms." My favorite movie about chaos happening when the mom is absent is "Mom's Night Out," which is cleaner and better for a family to watch.
Could this happen realistically? Yes. I feel like parents could get arrested and a crazy aunt would be in charge. Would someone be fine after being hit by a car and falling off of a building though? Absolutely not. Also, I think the family would go into debt after day one if they spent as much as these people are spending, even if the familly originally started off as being super crazy rich.
Can my kids watch this? I would definitely say no. Maybe when they are like 18+. Although this is a comedy, the amount of sex, drugs, and vulgar language are all very bad in this show.
Explicit Content (Without Spoilers):
- Sexual: (8/10)
People talk about having sex a lot. One of the girls wishes she would get pregnant when she is just dating her boyfriend.
Some of the characters are bisexual or gender-fluid. One of the kids pretends to be transgender.
You hear people "doing it."
There is some heavy kissing.
People toss "boob implants" at each other. One girl wants a boob job.
- Violence (5/10)
The aunt gets hit by cars a lot and jumps off of buildings. It's hilarious though.
The boyfriends all beat each other up all the time.
People usually get beaten in every episode.
- Language (8/10)
It's TV-MA for this reason. There are tons of bad language.
- Drug Use (7/10)
There are a ton of drugs throughout the entirety of the show: cocaine, weed, etc. One of the little kids takes hormones by accident.
The aunt is always drunk. Always. Alba, the maid, is usually hammered as well.
Side note: If you are having to cover your kids eyes for most of the show, wouldn't it be better to watch a different one that they can actually watch?
